This tin of liquid dubbin dates from 1917 at the earliest. A waterproofing oil product was still listed in their 1966 catalogue.

Use this oil to waterproof, preserve, soften
Golf shoes, marching boots, shooting boots, football boots, fishing lines, leggings etc
Directions
The leather being clean and dry apply Oil freely with an old tooth brush.
It is important that the oil be worked into the welts of boots and shoes.

This small can of Propert’s Waterproofing Oil was bought in the Netherlands at the end of the 1960s. Dimensions are 9.1cm high x 5.3cm width x 3.5cm depth.

Properts Waterproofing Oil
Remove all dirt with a stiff brush and apply oil evenly to surface of leather. Rub oil well into the welts and soles with an old tooth brush.

This oil is specially prepared for the waterproofing and softening of golf shoes, fishing boots, football boots, shooting boots, all heavy leather footwear, and leather leggings.
